Grandma Annette's Banana Bread

Grandma Annette's Banana Nut Bread - Katie Griffin

1/2 C shortening
1 C sugar
3 or 4 bananas, mashed
2 eggs
2 C flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 C water
1 C chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

Cream shortening and sugar, add mashed bananas and eggs. Add dry ingredients with water. Mix well. Pour into two greased bread pans.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Yield 2 loaves.
